Canterbury and Otago Challenge - Lake Aviemore
The annual challange between Canterbury and Otago was held over Waitangi weekend at lake Aveimore.
With 6 boats from Chirstchurch,1 from Timaru,4 from Dunedin and 1 from Omaru the advantage was always with Canterbury as this is a teams race but Canterbury only just managed to hold of a strong challange from Otago to win by 1 point.
Pierce Prendergast & Dave Brady won the Hobie cup on handicap beating the 6 gennakered boats.
Over all winner of the Gennaker divison was Warren Guy & Peter Evrard. 2nd Rory & Kelly Godman, 3rd Clayton Phillips & Neville Dickie.
1st in the standed H16 class: P. Prendergast & D Brady, 2nd Rooster & Bil Lowe, 3rd Don Anderson & Jim Thompson
